Dances of Universal Peace
Fridays 7 – 9 pm
The Dances of Universal Peace use simple music, lyrics, and movements to touch the spiritual essence within ourselves and others.
No musical or dance experience is required and everyone is welcomed to join in. Special attire is not necessary, although comfortable, loose-fitting clothing is best.
Participants join hands forming a circle with the Dance leader and other musicians in the center. Throughout the evening, the leader teaches the group the words, melody, and movements for the next Dance and often provides background about that particular Dance.

Learn How You Can Combine Movement & Intentional Touch to:
· Break out of set routines & bring more energy & creativity to your practice
· Approach each session with curiosity & meet people as they are in the moment
· Recognize your clients as dynamic & whole beings, while staying in your own center
· Encourage your clients to be collaborative partners in healing
· Improve your relationship with your own body & help your clients to do the same
If you are wondering if you will be able to apply this work in your practice, please know that we will practice the applications of Motion Massage techniques both in open space as well as on the massage table.
What I enjoy most as a massage therapist, and what I look forward to sharing with you during this workshop, is the opportunity to meet people in the moment. I look at each session as a fresh opportunity to practice presence. Even if I have seen the client many times before, I ask, “What’s happening for this person now? What’s here today?” When I practice motion massage, I invite a sense of playfulness, curiosity, flexibility, and spontaneity that allows me to respond to whatever my client is experiencing—even when that changes from moment to moment. Motion Massage encourages clients to be partners in their massage and empowers them to know their own bodies and to take charge of their own healing process. Similarly, when I am giving someone a table massage, I look at the way I move my own body as a dance that we co-create in response to whatever the client is bringing in that moment. With this practice, each session evolves naturally. ~Felix
